Well if you've seen my prior question (which I deleted because my question was not answered) you'll know what this is about if not i'll explain. In August there's going to be an Agility Festival, I have just found out that on the Sunday of that weekend there's going to be a race as a tribute to my Great Uncle Jock. I don't really want to go into why but basically he was a champion race car driver, one day when he was racing it was really wet and rainy, the car slid off the road and crashed into a pillar, when paramedics tried to get to him another car came off the track and crashed into him- he died on the scene at a young age (28), he's down as a 'legend' around here. The Festival is 7 hours drive from were I am – it's down in England. Now I want to make this clear I AM going to the race- I go every year and i'm not going to stop now, especially seeing as it's the last ever one that's going to be held. My question is would it be WORHTWHILE going to Agility on *Saturday* and instead of staying over night as planned drive back up to Scotland to go to the race on the Sunday or should I just miss the *Agility all together*? I am wondering if i'm able to do *both* in the weekend or just the *race*. Live for Tamaskans you make a very good point there. Knockhill (the place were the race will be held) is around 45 min-1hours drive from my house. I was thinking of trying to get there on Friday and go Saturday then drive back Saturday night but as you said, Lorraine, I may be pushing it a bit. I do really want to go to Agility but I feel I have to go to this, even though my Gran and my mum have said it's absolutely fine if I don't go I know they want me there, plus I want to go, it's great fun. I won't be working on the Monday – I was meant to be working in the morning but i've been told they don't need me in. We've driven 7 hours down to England before at Easter so I know I can handle it, as can my dogs so that's not a problem. . But then again it was the day after, we were there for 5 days last time. Basically… To be honest I think it is a long drive and it depends on how far you have to go on the Sunday, and whether you have work again on the Monday or can you just sleep in on that day. I don't really think this is something anyone else can help you with to be honest. I agree you MUST go to the race on the Sunday but whether you feel you can do 14 hours of driving on the Saturday for the agility I don't know. You could drive down to England on the Friday and then back on the Saturday night, but to be honest it is pushing it a bit, and I would probably give the agility a miss this year.

I state skip Agility. If you were to go, and something should happen to your car or you weren't able to leave on time, you could miss the race. There will be other Agility competitions, but since this is the last year for the race, if you miss it you won't get another chance.
do both and after agility drive back get few hours sleep then go to race
